International passengers arriving at Portland International Airport must go under Passport Control. Passengers are obliged to provide documentation including passport, visa, and answer every question asked by TSA employee. TSA works under U.S. immigration law. After leaving Passport Control, visitors meet inspectors of U.S. Customs and Agriculture. They will assist every passenger and inform them what they can bring into the U.S. and what is prohibited.

After going under secondary screening and taking their baggage back, visitors can meet leave the federal inspection area. The Meeting area for arriving passengers is the opposite of carousel 10, on the baggage claim floor.
